--------------------------------------------

This symposium will provide an opportunity for all researchers to discuss their research undertaken in collaboration, as well as their collaborative experiences and insights. Submissions are welcomed on the following themes:

· collaboration · research undertaken with others (incl. supervisors/students) · building and maintaining research communities · networking · research teams · research supervision (student and/or supervisor perspective) · gaining access to research sites · ethical considerations in research · innovative research and methodological approaches · partnerships with research participants · co-publishing · supporting your research (including training, funding and University supports)

--------------------------------------------

Symposium presentations can take a variety of formats, including but not limited to:

•Conceptual papers •Joint student/supervisor presentations •Methodological papers •Performances •Empirical papers •Sharing research data •Provocations •Debates

Students, academics, and researchers frequently engage in collaborations that strengthen their research by drawing upon the unique skills that each collaborator brings to the project. For many research candidates, their first experience of research collaboration is with their supervisor. Ideally, this experience should provide post-graduate students with a foundation for research collaborations. What emerges from these collaborations is innovative thinking and stretching the boundaries of paradigms, perspectives and ways of thinking about a phenomenon and ways to engage in inquiry.

--------------------------------------------

Presentations may engage with the symposium theme in a number of ways and you are welcome to present research that is at any stage or development, from conception through to reflection. All fields of research are welcome, as are all levels of research experience. Each presentation will be allocated 15 minutes, with discussion following each symposium session.

Participation is free.
